2026 EMPLOYEE RECRUITMENT, TRAINING AND RETENTION SURVEY

Survey Objectives
This survey is being conducted with businesses and organizations across the region as part of the Far Northeast Training Board's (FNETB) ongoing effort to collect information on opportunities and challenges with employee recruitment, training and retention. The survey begins with some basic questions about the general profile of your business/organization and workforce, followed by 24 multiple choice questions.

As a Northeastern Ontario employer, your input is essential to help us in our ongoing efforts to:

• Inform employment and training programs and services.
• Ensure that local employment and training programs and services better align with the needs of employers.
• Promote the skills required by local employers.
• Support local initiatives to ensure that a skilled and trained workforce is available to meet the local demand.

The end result will be a labour market snapshot of local and regional recruitment, training and retention issues.

Completing the survey:

• The survey should take approximately 10 – 15 minutes to complete.
• Please answer all the questions as accurately and completely as possible.
• Although you might receive a request to complete the survey from multiple sources, we ask that your business/organization complete the survey only once.
• Please have the survey completed by a person who is familiar with issues associated with employee recruitment, training and retention.
• Be sure to click ‘DONE’ at the very end of the survey.

Confidentiality:
The survey has been designed to protect your identity. All answers will be treated in strict confidence and they will be compiled and published in aggregate form only.
