Our Knowles Court Aged Care Community residents enjoy taking part in word games. They are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to assist with the setting up and running of the word building activity on a Monday afternoon. This role includes encouraging residents to participate in the activity enhancing their cognitive skills and promoting community connectedness.
Most importantly they are also lots of fun!


As part of the Monday afternoon program you can assist residents by:
  • Providing support and reassurance while residents are involved in the game
  • Ensure residents remain actively engaged, encouraged and inspired
  • Encourage independence, friendship, and fun in a relaxed environment.
This role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

The Word Building Game is held on a Monday afternoon between the hours of 1.30pm and 3pm. 
This program is located within the Sinnamon Village Aged Care Community where the residents enjoy a wonderful sense of life, fun, and friendship.
