Driver Survey on Truck Parking Issues in the MAASTO Region |
In a 2015 survey conducted by the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), truck drivers ranked "truck parking" as the 2nd most critical issue they face, after Hours-of-Service.
ATRI is now working with a coalition of 10 Midwest states called "MAASTO" to address truck parking shortages. This survey seeks truck driver input on parking issues and opportunities in Midwest states, including Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
One of the key objectives of the effort is the development of the country's first regional truck parking information systems. However, truck driver input is needed on how that system should work! ATRI is asking truck drivers operating in the Midwest to complete the short survey by August 10, 2016.
ATRI rigorously protects the confidentiality of all participants and responses in its research. Any identifying information will be removed and only general findings will be reported.
