We are reaching out to you because you have been identified as a 2020 or 2021 graduate from a School District of Philadelphia Career and Technical Education (CTE) program, and we have an important opportunity to share with you.

Through Philadelphia’s CTE programs, students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications related to their respective career focus. Earning an industry certification has many benefits. It gives students a sense of accomplishment, a highly valued professional credential, and helps students become more employable with higher starting salaries. Depending on their chosen CTE program, students in Philadelphia may earn Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS); A+; Cisco; First Aid & CPR; OSHA; S/P2; ServSafe; Adobe and many others. The School District of Philadelphia offers over 50 industry-recognized certifications to CTE students.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 closures that impacted our schools during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years, many of our CTE students never had the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications prior to graduating from high school. Now, we are reaching out to you to share the good news - the School District of Philadelphia is planning to offer the opportunity for 2020 and 2021 CTE graduates to earn their industry-recognized certification in 2022!
