Aviation Maintenance Technician Job Task Analysis Survey
Introduction
Hello, and thank you for your participation in this survey. By completing this survey, you have an opportunity to shape the future of the aviation community by helping to identify aviation maintenance technician requirements that are critical to the safe operation of an aircraft.
PSI Services is conducting an analysis of critical requirements for certificated airframe and/or powerplant aviation mechanics. The purpose of this analysis is to identify the knowledge required for aviation maintenance technicians nationwide. The results of this analysis will be used to update the specifications for certification examinations so that the examinations reflect current practices.
The survey is split into four sections: Demographic Information, General, Airframe, and Powerplant. All respondents will be given the demographic information and General Aviation Maintenance sections. You will be given the Airframe or Powerplant sections based on which certificate(s) you possess. If you possess both, you will be given the option to complete one of the sections or both. The demographic section will collect information related to your area(s) of expertise, years of experience, and other relevant data. Most of these questions are optional with certain questions being required to validate your knowledge to respond to this survey. Next, you will rate the importance and frequency of knowledge and risk management statements for aviation mechanics (depending on your experience).
The survey will take roughly 45 minutes to complete.

Your individual responses will be kept confidential and will be aggregated with those of other respondents to determine group trends.
