About Marcus Mission

Marcus Mission is all about men supporting men across South East Queensland. Marcus Mission aims to build resilience and reduce the risk of suicide for men by building awareness, offering education, and through our network providing mateship and support to build the skills, knowledge, and connections of young men as well as their families, friends, and communities.

The role of the volunteer Marcus Mission Network Area Coordinator includes:
  • Meeting, registering, and matching members of our network – mentors and participants
  • Coordinating and supporting our Mentor Network
  • Keeping accurate administration records
  • Networking in the community to raise awareness of the program.
As part of our team of dedicated volunteer Network Area Coordinators, you will be provided with training and support to perform your role efficiently and safely including the opportunity to develop your skills in resilience and suicide prevention.

There is flexibility with the hours required in this role and with a combination of face-to-face meetings and phone contact.

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received their COVID-19 vaccinations before they are registered in their role.

Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Blue Card Combined check prior to commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
