There is more information here https://newlandsnz.weebly.com/resilience.html including an Infographic showing the results of the Post level 3 and 4 lock down survey in June 2020, as well as our objectives and possible solutions which were workshopped with residents in June and July.
What
A Wellbeing Survey will help confirm or change the possible solutions for delivery through the Coordinated Community Enterprise from February 2021. The survey includes some basic disaster readiness questions also[1].
How, When and Who
The survey will be launched through the network of leaders in Newlands for completion from Shake Out Day (15th October) until 20th November. It can be completed online or using a hard copy either in private or in a group and for example at home, a community gathering or a neighbour’s house etc. The survey is anonymous, confidential and does not record any personal data of the respondents. The NPPA, on behalf of Newlands’ Residents, will be the caretakers of the survey data. No other public or private organisation or persons have ownership or access rights to the data.
Next steps
During November, the Survey results will be analysed and presented to Newlands’ leaders and residents and published on the website. To build togetherness and connections one idea we have is to identify a network of ‘Street Champions’ to better connect Newlands residents. We ask in the Survey whether you could be interested in finding out about manageable volunteering opportunities starting in February, with training.
