The Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) is delighted to invite entrepreneurs to apply for the PBBA 2026, an annual platform which celebrates and recognises outstanding local enterprises and their contributions to the economy.

Note:
  • Please submit the completed application form below with supporting documents no later than Sunday, 25th January 2026, at 11.59 PM. Kindly note that incomplete submissions will not be entertained.

Note: The term “enterprise” is used throughout and interchangeably to refer to “business” or “company”.

A. GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
  1. Registered/Incorporated with Registry of Companies and Business Names (ROCBN).
  2. Any private enterprise with any form of Government shareholding is not eligible.
  3. Enterprises with a minimum of 50% in local ownership.
  4. Operational for a minimum of 3 years.
  5. Financial statements must be available for at least 3 years:
    • Management Accounts for:
      • Sole Proprietorship
      • Partnership
      • Private Limited Company (Sdn Bhd) with revenue below BND 1 Million.
    • Audited Financial Statement for:
      • Private Limited Company (Sdn Bhd) with revenue below BND 1 Million (if available)
      • Private Limited Company (Sdn Bhd) with revenue BND 1 Million and above.
B. LOCAL VALUE CONTENT REQUIREMENTS
  1. Product manufacturers must meet at least one (1) of the following conditions:
    • Locally designed and/or formulated product
    • Use of locally sourced materials or procured from local suppliers
    • Locally produced
  2. Service providers must meet at least one (1) of the following conditions:
    • Locally developed and/or designed services
    • Use of locally sourced materials or procured from local suppliers
  3. Applicants for Downstream Oil & Gas (Priority Cluster Category) have the additional requirement to meet employment ratio requirements as per Directive 2: Local Business Development (LBD) Framework for the Oil & Gas Industry (additional guidelines can be found here).

C. DOCUMENTS SUBMISSION

Kindly have the following documents ready to upload at the end of this Application Form:

  1. Copy of Business Registration (16/17 or Form X) or Company Certification of Incorporation
  2. Latest filing of Annual Returns and Income Tax Returns (for private limited companies only)
  3. Identification Card (for shareholder(s)/owner(s) only)
  4. Shareholder certificate(s)
  5. High resolution enterprise logo
  6. Financial Statements for the past 3 years: Audited Financial Statements (for private limited company with revenue $1 Million and above); OR Management Accounts (for sole proprietorship, partnership, for private limited company with revenue below $1 Million)
  7. Track record, including key projects or portfolio, for at least the past 3 years
  8. Any media coverage or documents highlighting external recognition (if applicable)
  9. Certificates and/or Standards (if applicable)
