Who: 7th through 10th grade students in the DFW Metroplex.

What: Fourteen local students will have the opportunity to work with an educator, local collectors, and curators throughout the week who will discover and inspire an understanding around the key processes to mineral curation and collecting. The program will include learning to identify minerals, handling processes, cataloging and photographing collections, and how to curate an exhibit.  The weeklong program will culminate with a digital portfolio.

When: August 12th – August 16th (presentation of portfolio August 16th)

Phone Interview Dates: June 4th- 5th

Date of Notification: June 7th

Cost: $500, scholarships and needs-based bus passes available

How: Application is due May 31, 2019 by 11pm. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Phone interviews will take place June 4th and 5th from 4-7pm.
