Introduction

These survey questions are part of a collaborative piece of work being done with PhD students from the University of Portsmouth to understand people's views of Portsmouth libraries from past to present. We are interested in your thoughts and memories of Portsmouth’s Public Libraries throughout your time in Portsmouth.

What if I don't want to use the electronic survey?

We know that not everyone is happy using electronic surveys. If you don’t want to fill this in, then you can pick up a paper version of the questionnaire from your local library.

What happens after the survey?

Your anonymous answers will be considered in the PhD students’ essays/thesis/publications and by Portsmouth City Council in exhibitions and future work.

This survey is open until 11:59pm on 11th August, 2026
