2019 Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards Nominations are Open

The Texas Lawbook and the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel are now accepting nominations for the 2019 Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards. Over the past two years, ACC-DFW and The Texas Lawbook have revamped the Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards to make them more substantive and focusing on the great legal work of our business law community, and this year's awards continue that fresh, focused approach.

The nomination process is open until Nov. 6.

The submissions require basic contact information, biographical material for the legal department and person being nominated and why the individual or group deserves the award.

Here are the categories:

Lifetime Achievement Award
Corporate M&A Deal of the Year
Senior Corporate Counsel of the Year Award (Large, Medium & Small/Solo Departments)
Public Service and Pro Bono Award
Legal Innovation Award
Business Litigation of the Year Award
Diversity Award
General Counsel of the Year (Large, Medium & Small/Solo Departments)
Creative Partnership Award
Rookie of the Year

The Texas Lawbook and ACC-DFW have put together a terrific group of judges to review the submissions. The finalists for each category will be announced and profiled in The Lawbook and the Dallas Business Journal in early January. The awards ceremony will take place Jan. 30 at the George W. Bush Institute at Southern Methodist University.
