Thank you for your interest in registering as a Individual Visitor at our Wesley Mission, Queensland Anam Cara aged care community.

Are you someone who loves being outdoors, gardening and tinkering? Can you spare an hour each fortnight to share time with a male resident who enjoys light activities in the sunshine?

This is an opportunity to enhance this resident’s self-esteem and encourage meaningful activity through gentle walks, weeding, watering, planting, feeding the chickens and fixing or painting things. You’ll be part of a friendly team and guided by our specialist staff.
 
The volunteering hours currently available are Monday to Sunday between 8.30am and 5pm. (flexible)

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations before they are registered in their role.

Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance check prior to commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
