Our Emmaus Village aged care community at Chermside is seeking a volunteer who would enjoy delivering library books to elderly residents.  This position would suit a person who is a able to commit to volunteering once a fortnight. This role encourages the building of relationships with residents who are often unable to visit the library themselves.

Set in the peaceful surrounds of Wheller Gardens Chermside, Emmaus Village has offered generations of seniors a caring community in which to live. Designed around interconnecting courts, with walkways and large windows highlighting the natural surrounds. Residents at Emmaus enjoy a community where they can remain independent, active, engaged and connected.

This volunteering role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Volunteering hours for this role are approximately 1.5 hours a fortnight on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between the hours of 9 and 11.30.
