Volunteer Newsletter Creator/Editor

Our Parkview Lifestyle team are seeking a motivated and creative volunteer to assist in the production of the monthly newsletter which is currently distributed to residents, staff and families. The Parkview newsletter is produced in A4 format and includes stories, photos and other relevant information pertaining to life at Parkview.

A person with the following skills would be ideal for this role:

·        Good organisational skills
·        Attention to detail, especially in editing and proofing
·        Creativity and excellent written communication skills
·        Proficient IT skills and ability to utilise basic desktop and publishing software
·        Ability to manage a monthly project from start to finish meeting specified deadline
·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role is fully supported by the lifestyle team who will submit articles and provide all relevant information to be included.

Volunteering hours for this role are 1 or 2 weekdays a month (flexible) for approximately 3 to 6 hours.

This volunteering role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference, make friends, have fun and learn new skills.

All of our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received their COVID-10 Vaccinations before commencement.

Please note that it is now federal legislation that all residential aged care volunteers can show proof that they have received an annual Influenza vaccination. You will be required to show proof of your vaccination prior to commencement. (Seasonal between the months of May and October).
