Then this contest is for you. The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Firefighter Safety Through Advanced Research (FSTAR) and Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites you to participate in the first IAFC/OSU Research Symposium. This contest is open to all students who are involved in research in any fire service field and on any campus.

Posters may report on planned research, or completed research, or on research that is underway.
 
Fire-Rescue International invites all to participate.
 
Presentations will be in the form of a poster session with a 20-minute in-person talk on August 7, and a display in the exhibit hall during the Fire-Rescue International conference, August 9-11 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX.

Abstracts will be reviewed for scientific merit and fire service relevance. It is acceptable and preferred to submit an abstract previously published within the last 24 months, EFO papers within the past 36 months. Those selected will receive a complimentary registration to attend Fire-Rescue International 2018 to present their poster in person. Limit one complimentary registration per accepted poster submission.   
An independent panel will judge the posters at the Fire-Rescue International conference.
