The San Francisco Silent Film Festival Travel Grant was established to help develop new media archivists, the caretakers of our film heritage. The Grant provides travel funding for the AMIA Annual Conference.

The grant recipient will be reimbursed for reasonable travel and registration expenses up to $1,000 for the AMIA Annual Conference and will receive a complimentary conference registration as well as registration to The Reel Thing Technical Symposium at the Conference. In addition, each grant recipient will receive a complimentary Industry Pass to the San Francisco Silent Film Festival.

The grant is intended for those entering the field, new professionals and students. All AMIA members are eligible to receive a SFSFF Fund Travel Grant.
