Are Your Recordkeeping Relationships Service-Able?

Perhaps no function is as integral to the successful operation of a plan as that of the recordkeeper – both good, and bad. This week we’d like to know about your experience(s) – and how that has changed, if at all, over the past two years.

Indeed, nothing can so completely or rapidly sour a relationship as bad recordkeeping, and therefore it’s no real surprise as to what the advisor-respondents to the 2019 NAPA Summit Insider said was their primary consideration in selecting a recordkeeper.

This week we’d like to know about your recordkeeping experience(s).
1.How many recordkeepers do you currently work with?
2.Have you fired/quit working with a recordkeeper during the past two years?
3.If you have terminated a relationship with a recordkeeper, what were the reason(s)?
4.If you have terminated a relationship with a recordkeeper, what was the PRIMARY reason?
5.Regarding the recordkeeping staff that you work with, do you find...
6.Are you familiar with what kind of training (if any) is provided to the RK staff with which you work?
7.What kind of training do you think there should be more of for RK staff (check all that apply)?
8.In which area do you most think training is needed for the RK staff with which you communicate/interact?
9.Other comments about recordkeeping service, terminating recordkeeping service, the reasons for terminating recordkeeping service, the reasons for keeping recordkeeping services, the things that lead to the reasons for keeping - or terminating - recordkeeping services...or life in general?
10.What is your role working with retirement plans?
11.What size plans do you PRIMARILY work with?
12.Suggestions for future survey questions?  What would YOU like to ask other NAPA-Net readers?
13.Depending on response rate, we might give one of the respondents to this week's poll a free registration to the NAPA 401(k) Summit, or Women in Retirement Conference.  If you'd like to be considered, please provide your email.
