INFORMATION FOR BREAKOUT SESSION PROPOSERS:

The NIH SciEd 2017 Conference will be held May 30 - June 2 in downtown Washington, DC.

DEADLINE for proposal submission is Sunday, APRIL 16.

Breakout sessions are usually 1.25 hours in length.

Sessions will be selected by the Conference Organizing Committee to provide a balance of topics. Interactive sessions that provide ample opportunities for participants to contribute and share are strongly preferred.

Please provide an outline for how you plan to spend the session time (75 minutes).

For example: If you are proposing a panel discussion, your outline might be:
Short presentations by 3 panelists, 7 minutes each = ~25 minutes
Whole-group discussion = ~50 minutes

* 8. AUDIO-VISUAL NEEDS:
Please check ONLY those that you need.

Presenters will need to bring their own laptop computers, if they plan to use one.

* 9. ROOM SET-UP PREFERENCE:
Indicate your preference for room set-up. We will try to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee it; sessions requesting tables for a use described in the Session Outline will have tables.

Provide any additional information the Organizing Committee might want or need to know about your session. If you will only attend the conference on certain days, please note this here.

After you submit your proposal you should see a screen that says "Thank you for submitting a NIH SciEd 2017 breakout session proposal."
This will indicate that your proposal was successfully submitted.
