Stellar Arts is an inspirational creative arts program presented by Wesley Mission Queensland. Its inclusive style makes it a wonderful way for people living with disability or disadvantage to connect with opportunities that they may find difficult within other arts programs.

Stellar Arts are looking for arty, fun, friendly, musical, and/or outgoing people interested in spending time with our clients, working alongside Wesley Mission Queensland of staff to enrich and empower lives of our young people living with a disability through various art and music programs. Just a bit of quality time shared can mean so much!

Depending on their level of skill, Stella Arts Support Volunteers may be involved in some of the following tasks:
  • Helping arrange, set up and pack down workshops
  • Developing and/or facilitating special approved projects
  • Assisting workshop participants to be involved and follow instructions given by workshop facilitator
  • And if they would like to, share their own special talent or interest!
The role of Stellar Arts is suitable for people who are keen on or have an interest in arts, crafts, and music, have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm, caring and empathetic manner. It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of our clients while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

We are currently looking for volunteers who can assist us in various areas across Brisbane, including Chermside, Albany Creek, Jindalee, and Rocklea.

The Stellar Arts program also supports special needs groups, including:
  • Young people living with various disabilities who have just left school; and
  • People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Stellar Arts is a lovely, welcoming and rewarding program to volunteer in where you will meet many wonderful people and learn great new skills that may assist you both personally and professionally. For more information on Wesley Mission Queensland, please visit our website.
