Wesley Arts is an inspirational creative arts program presented by Wesley Mission Queensland. Its inclusive style makes it a wonderful way for people living with a disability to connect with opportunities that they may find difficult within other arts programs.

Our team at Albany Creek are currently looking for volunteers interested in assisting us with:
  • Makers and Creators sessions creating craft and art pieces each Monday between 2:30pm-5pm (currently not available)
  • Percussion sessions each Tuesday between 2:45pm-4:45pm
  • Visual Art sessions each Wednesday between 3pm-5pm (currently not available)
  • Drama sessions each Thursday between 2:45pm-4:45pm (currently not available)
Our team at Rocklea are currently looking for volunteers interested in assisting us with:
  • Visual Art sessions (painting, drawing, sculpture, clay etc) each Monday between 12:45pm – 2:45pm 
  • Singing workshop each Tuesday between 10am - 11:30am.
In the sessions, you will be helping to:
  • Arrange, set up, and pack down workshops
  • Facilitate special approved projects
  • Assist participants to be involved and follow instructions given by the workshop facilitator.

The role of Wesley Arts volunteer is suitable for people who are keen on or have an interest in arts, crafts, and music, have well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and display a calm, caring, and empathetic manner.   It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of people with a disability while making friends, having fun, and learning new skills.
Wesley Arts is a lovely, welcoming, and rewarding program to volunteer in where you will meet many wonderful people and learn great new skills that may assist you both personally and professionally.
