Thank you for your interest in King County's Transportation for Pandemic Response (TPR). This service is a partnership between Public Health - Seattle & King County (PHSKC), King County Metro (KCM) and MV Transportation. It is owned by PHSKC, managed by KCM, and operated by MV Transportation. This is a service of PHSKC and not generally available to the public.

TPR's mission is to serve the transportation needs of PHSKC in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. TPR specializes in providing transportation for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are presumed to be COVID-19 positive (i.e. symptomatic).

To further assist the community, King County Metro is utilizing excess TPR resources and extending this as a transportation option to agencies within King County that serve Access customers with life-sustaining medical treatments.

How TPR works:
  • Agencies must apply and be approved before they are allowed to request rides on TPR.
  • Once approved, medical personnel at the agency may request rides on TPR for an Access eligible individual - either COVID-19 positive or symtomatic - for the purpose of receiving treatment at the agency.
  • Hours of operation are 7 days a week, 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • TPR operates on a space available/standby basis - trip requests are not guaranteed. Agencies must be prepared to arrange alternate transportation for any trip request.
  • TPR offers curb-to-curb service. For their own safety and the safety of others, TPR personnel will remain in vehicle at all times. Agency personnel must meet and escort clients when they arrive or depart.
  • Agencies are strongly encouraged to make trip requests 24 hours in advance. Some same-day trips may be available.
  • PHSKC strongly recommends that customers wear a mask at all times.
  • In some circumstances, a third-party (cabulance company) may be used to serve the trip request.
  • There's no cost - this is being offered as a service to our Access customers.
