What do we mean by tourism?

Tourism includes all travel outside one's usual location — for recreation, business, events, or visiting friends and family. It encompasses the full visitor experience: getting here, places to stay, things to do, and where to eat and shop.

In the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region, our tourism industry includes hotels and vacation rentals, restaurants, breweries, wineries, museums and galleries, outdoor guide services, event venues, shops, and countless other businesses that welcome both visitors and residents alike.
