WFOT Global Survey on Occupational Therapy and Artificial Intelligence

WFOT is conducting an online survey regarding artificial intellgence and occupational therapy. For the purpose of this survey, artificial intelligence refers to the capacity of systems and tools to learn from data to exhibit or simulate intelligent behaviour (adapted from World Health Organization, 2024).

The purpose of this study is to:
1. Understand the current knowledge and use of artificial intelligence in occupational therapy.
2. Explore current occupational therapy attitudes and perspectives regarding artificial intelligence.
3. Investigate future perspectives regarding artificial intelligence and occupational therapy.

The results of the survey will be used to inform the development of a position statement on this topic.

Your participation is voluntary.

To participate in the survey, please complete the questions on the following pages. Completion of this survey will
require approximately 10 minutes.

The deadline for responses is 12 November, 2025.

Responses will only be recorded when you press “DONE” at the end of the survey.

La WFOT mène actuellement une enquête en ligne sur l'intelligence artificielle et l'ergothérapie. Dans le cadre de cette enquête, l'intelligence artificielle désigne la capacité des systèmes et des outils à apprendre à partir de données afin de manifester ou de simuler un comportement intelligent (adapté de l'Organisation mondiale de la santé, 2024).

Cette étude a pour objectif :
1. De comprendre les connaissances actuelles et l'utilisation de l'intelligence artificielle en ergothérapie.
2. D'explorer les attitudes et les perspectives actuelles de l'ergothérapie en matière d'intelligence artificielle.
3. D'étudier les perspectives d'avenir concernant l'intelligence artificielle et l'ergothérapie.

Les résultats de l'enquête serviront à élaborer une prise de position sur ce sujet.

Instructions
Votre participation est bénévole. Pour participer à l'enquête, veuillez répondre aux questions des pages suivantes. Il vous faudra environ 10 minutes pour répondre à cette enquête.

La date limite pour répondre est fixée au 12 novembre 2025.

Der WFOT führt eine Online-Umfrage zum Thema künstliche Intelligenz (KI) und Ergotherapie durch. Für die Zwecke dieser Umfrage bezieht sich KI auf die Fähigkeit von Systemen und Werkzeugen, aus Daten zu lernen, um intelligentes Verhalten zu zeigen oder zu simulieren (in Anlehnung an die Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO), 2024).

Der Zweck dieser Studie ist es:
1. Den aktuellen Wissensstand und die Verwendung KI in der Ergotherapie zu verstehen.
2. Die aktuellen Einstellungen und Perspektiven der Ergotherapie in Bezug auf KI zu untersuchen.
3. Die Zukunftsperspektiven in Bezug auf KI und Ergotherapie zu erforschen.

Die Ergebnisse der Umfrage werden in die Ausarbeitung einer Stellungnahme zu diesem Thema einfließen.

La WFOT está llevando a cabo una encuesta en línea sobre la inteligencia artificial y la terapia ocupacional. A los efectos de esta encuesta, la inteligencia artificial se refiere a la capacidad de los sistemas y herramientas para aprender a partir de datos con el fin de mostrar o simular un comportamiento inteligente (adaptado de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, 2024).

El objetivo de este estudio es:
1. Comprender los conocimientos actuales y el uso de la inteligencia artificial en la terapia ocupacional.
2. Explorar las actitudes y perspectivas actuales de la terapia ocupacional con respecto a la inteligencia artificial.
3. Investigar las perspectivas futuras con respecto a la inteligencia artificial y la terapia ocupacional.

Los resultados de la encuesta se utilizarán para elaborar una declaración de posicionamiento sobre este tema.
