Consent to Participate

You are invited to take part in a survey conducted prior to a presentation by Jan-Ole Hesselberg. Your responses will be used to tailor the presentation content and may also be used for research on how different groups understand and evaluate the topics discussed.

What does participation involve?
You will be asked to respond to questions about:
  • What you know and think about the topics addressed in the presentation
  • Your age group, gender, and place of work
Participation is voluntary, and you may stop the survey at any time.

Purpose of data processing
Your responses will be used for:
  • Preparing and customizing the presentation
  • Research and dissemination related to how people assess and understand certain topics
Research findings may be published in academic or popular science contexts, but only in aggregated form, so that no individual can be identified.

Data processing and storage
No names, email addresses, IP addresses, or other directly identifiable information will be collected.

All data will be pseudonymized from the outset. This means that individuals cannot be identified directly, although combinations of gender, age group, and workplace may, in rare cases, make it possible to identify individuals in small groups.

There is no intention to identify anyone, and all data will be treated confidentially.

The data will be stored in pseudonymized form and may be used for long-term research.

No personal data will be shared with third parties.

The legal basis for processing this data is your consent (cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(j) for research purposes).

Your rights
If it is possible to identify you, you have the right to:
  • Access the information we have stored about you
  • Request correction or deletion of data, as long as they remain personally identifiable
  • Withdraw your consent at any time without negative consequences
Be aware that it is highly unlikely that you can be identified, and therefore it will likely not be possible to find and delete your responses.
