The Joint Task Force to Reduce Administrative Burdens on Physicians is asking for your help to estimate how much of the time physicians spend on administrative tasks is unnecessary. This will be used to set a goal to reduce the time that physicians spend on unnecessary administrative tasks.

Thinking about the total amount of time you spend on administrative tasks each week, please estimate the percentage of that time that is spent on administrative tasks that are unnecessary for a physician to complete. Unnecessary could mean the task could be:
  • Eliminated completely;
  • Reduced or streamlined in some way; or
  • Delegated to another individual (e.g. clerk, nurses, physician assistant or other non-physician role).
