1. Award Description

The Veronica White Medal recognises the efforts of an NRL Holden Women’s Premiership player who has not only achieved on the field but has also committed time off the field to community projects.

A player is nominated by their club for their involvement in charity work, youth development or community support. The nominated player will have consistently demonstrated their commitment to making a difference in their community and be seen as a role model in this area at their club.

Nominations should be based on a player’s work throughout 2019 – i.e. while playing in state-based or affiliated NZRL competitions.

They do not need to be based solely on the time the player has spent with their respective NRL Clubs for the 2019 NRL Holden Women’s Premiership.

The award criteria’s focus is primarily on successes in 2019, demonstrated through your responses to the following questions.

Criteria
  • History of donating their own time to charity work, youth development or community support as part of, and in addition to, their regular club commitments; this work must be voluntary, not part of a paid role.
  • Made a difference, and a role model, in the community.
  • Demonstrated NRL beliefs and behaviours (United, Positive, Discipline, Inclusive).
  • Playing for state-based or affiliated NZRL competition Rugby League team throughout 2019.
  • Playing for a NRL club in the 2019 NRL Holden Women’s Premiership.
  • Reputation must be in-tact on and off the field.
A video snapshot (no more than five minutes) and/or high quality photographs that demonstrate the nominees’ role in the community must be supplied to support this application

Please note: If you exit this survey half-way through, you can complete at a later date by visiting this web-page again on the same device and browser. Your responses will be saved up to the last time you pressed the 'NEXT' button.
