GP contractor views on the GP ARRS scheme |
Introduction
The BMA is undertaking a review of the ARRS (Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme), with a focus on the amendment in October 2024 to the Network Contract DES, which allowed recently-qualified GPs to be recruited under the scheme, with new funding to PCNs to claim reimbursement for these for at least the years 2024/25 and 2025/26. Part of the driver for this extension of the ARRS scheme was to help address GP unemployment amongst recently qualified GPs.
We want to understand better the views of our members on this scheme. This particular survey is open to GP partners / contractors working in a GP practice in England. A separate survey is being sent to GPs who are are employed in ARRS roles. We want to hear from GP partners who are employing or have employed GPs under the ARRS DES, but also from GP partners who have never done so, in order to be able to provide a full picture to NHS England and the Government on what is and isn't working well.
The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Thank you for your contribution.
