Introduction

The purpose of this survey is to better understand the priorities of Resident Doctors in Northern Ireland as the BMA Northern Ireland Resident Doctors Committee (NIRDC) prepares to enter negotiations with the Department of Health and HSC employers and host organisations on a reformed Resident Doctor contract for Northern Ireland.

The survey will close on 9th September 2025.

The results of the survey will support NIRDC to understand what current contractual and non-contractual issues Resident Doctors in Northern Ireland face, and how contract reform might offer an opportunity to address them. The survey will form part of NIRDCs ongoing engagement with Resident Doctors in Northern Ireland, supported by other activities, to ensure that all members can share their views on what a new contract should include.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
