WFOT is inviting occupational therapists who are involved with providing wheeled and seated mobility devices to participate in this survey.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recognises the important role of assistive technology such as wheelchairs and other mobility and seated devices in improving health. Unfortunately, of the 70 million people worldwide who require wheelchairs, only 5-15% of people have access to needed products.
WFOT wants to understand the global role of occupational therapists in meeting the goal of improving access to high quality, affordable wheeled and seated mobility devices.
For the purpose of this survey, the following definitions are used:
Wheeled and seated mobility device: Devices intended to provide mobility and function for persons with restricted or no ability to ambulate without assistance from technology.
Wheeled and seated mobility device provision: An overall term for wheeled and seated mobility device design, production, supply and service delivery.
Wheeled and seated mobility device user: A person who has difficulty in walking or moving around and uses and/or needs a wheelchair or other form of assistive technology for mobility.
It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete this survey.
The deadline for responses is 15th January 2022
Responses will only be recorded when you press “DONE” at the end of the survey.
