Thank you for your interest in volunteering at WesleyCare Coomera.

We are looking for a person with an interest in sharing their time, skills, talents, and knowledge with us while developing friendships with the people we support, sharing experiences, and encouraging them to participate.  It’s heaps of fun for all involved!

Volunteers enhance the lives of our residents by:

  • Having meaningful social interactions and conversations either in a small group or with individuals
  • Assisting in or facilitating programs including art, cooking, exercise, games, music, or gardening projects
  • Playing a musical instrument
  • Facilitating beauty and pamper sessions
  • Providing social support on community outings
  • Being involved in virtual activities including individual virtual visits, or facilitating virtual tours (galleries, zoos, travel, museums, etc) online
  • General support to the Community Access Facilitators to develop and implement community access experiences
  • Other skills or interests that you may be interested in sharing with us.
Our volunteer roles are suitable for people who have well-developed interpersonal skills and a caring and empathetic manner. It’s a great way to make a difference in the lives of adults with complex and high support needs while making friends, having fun, and learning new skills.

Volunteer times are generally available between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday unless specified.
As part of our volunteer roles:
  • All volunteers are required to complete an online NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) training course.
  • All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received their COVID-19 vaccinations before they are registered in their role.
  • Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Blue Card Check prior to commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
  • Volunteers do not provide personal care to residents.
