Wesley Mission Queensland is currently seeking a team of motivated and passionate people to transport members of the community in our fleet vehicles to and from their appointment at the Wheller Gardens Wellbeing Centre in Chermside. If you like driving, great with people and have a genuine passion to help others, this could be the perfect role for you!

As a Volunteer transport driver, you will be helping to provide a no-cost safe and supportive service for people in the community who otherwise could not get to their appointment, you will be navigating around local area (5km pick-up zone from Chermside centre), assisting clients to disembark bus and show into therapy centre and to their appointments. During your shift we will also ask you to perform other duties which will include preparing tea/coffee and morning tea for clients in waiting area and leading activities in waiting rooms. At the centre allied health professionals provide a range of support options to clients including:
  • Physiotherapy
  • Balance and fall prevention groups
  • Group and individual exercise programs
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech pathology
  • Dietetics
  • Podiatry
  • Psychology.

The Wheller Gardens Wellbeing Centre transport service runs Monday's and Thursday's and volunteer transport driver assistants shifts are available 7.30am start with a 3pm finish.

As part of our team of dedicated and caring volunteer transport drivers assistants you will be provided with a uniform as well as training and support to perform your role efficiently and safely.
