If you have property or liability coverage with CIS or are a member of the CIS Servicing Group, you're invited to submit a shark-tank project proposal!
The risk management project must be one that your entity already has in the works or plans to do in the future.You are asked to identify:
- The risk to be addressed by the project
- How the project will reduce claims
- How the idea may benefit other CIS members
CIS' sharks will review and evaluate projects before the conference. Three projects will be selected and presented by the member during a special shark-tank session at the 2027 CIS Annual Conference.
If your project is selected, we will help you pre-record a 3-minute video presenting your idea. The video will be played during the Shark Tank session at the 25th CIS Annual Conference, Feb. 24 - 26, 2027, at the Salem Convention Center. You must be present during the session to answer audience questions.
Finalists are encouraged to be creative with their conference session presentation. The audience will judge your project based on efficacy, transferability, innovation, and creativity. The audience will vote on their favorite project via a live poll, determining who receives the grand prize of $7,500. The first runner-up will receive $5,000, and the second runner-up $2,500.
