The FWC is responsible for managing Florida's fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and for the benefit of people. Based on direction from FWC Commissioners and subsequent input from FWC staff, cooperators, and stakeholders, the FWC is considering changes to spring turkey youth hunts on lands within the WMA system. The FWC is seeking your input on these proposed changes aimed at increasing opportunities for youth turkey hunting.

FWC Commissioners will consider the proposed rule changes for final adoption at their Aug. 13 - 14, 2025, meeting. If adopted, these rules will be in place for the 2026 spring turkey season.
