What Are Your Plan Investment Practices?

Many factors go into decisions about advisor practices – knowledge, experience, personal preferences, client needs, and even organizational guidelines (restrictions?).  But how do yours compare with other advisors?

This week, we’re launching a Reader Poll series on business practices – your responses are anonymous, of course – but we’re hoping that many of you will participate in the interests of providing a shared perspective on practices – whether they be “best” or just common to all our readers.
.How many different investment menus do you use today?
.Are you planning to consolidate menu offerings in the next 12 months?
.Is your investment policy asset allocation...
.Has that investment policy asset allocation changed in the past two years?
.What's the source of the education/communication material you use (check all that apply)?
.What's your PRIMARY source of education/communication material (pick the one that is most common)?
.Has that approach changed in the past two years?
.How are you delivering plan level committee meetings (check all that apply)?
.How are you PRIMARILY delivering plan level committee meetings (pick one)?
.Has that approach changed in the past two years?
.Any other comments about practices, business practices, changes in business practices, a lack of changes in business practices, the impact of changes (or a lack of changes) in business practices, or life in general?
.What is your role working with retirement plans?
.What size plans do you PRIMARILY work with?
.Suggestions for future survey questions?  Specifically, it's been suggested that it would be good to get feedback on different aspects of practice management - which one(s) would YOU like to know more about from your fellow advisors?
