Arts Workforce Survey by thrive

This survey is voluntary. However, by completing this survey, you are helping evidence who works in the arts sector and the reality of their experience today in Northern Ireland – from demographics and Section 75 data to your experiences of pay, conditions and career progression. The survey is anonymised and individual responses will not be shared with your employer or the Arts Council. The data will only be analysed at an aggregate level, so no individual or organisation can be identified. You can read our Workforce Survey FAQ’s here.

We will be sharing our research findings in Spring 2027 and encourage you to join our mailing list if you would like to find out more (you will be directed to our website at the end of the survey).

Workforce Survey: who is included and who is not?

The Workforce survey includes employees and board members.

The Workforce survey does NOT include freelance contributors or volunteers (other than voluntary board members). We will be conducting research separately on freelancers later in the year.
