Informed Consent

The research team for the Bare Marriage study requests your consent for participation in a study about men's experiences in marriage and sex. This consent form asks you to allow the researcher to include your answers to survey questions in future publications without identifying you.

Participation in this study is completely voluntary. If you decide not to participate there will not be any negative consequences. Please be aware that if you decide to participate, you may stop participating at any time and you may decide not to answer any specific question.

The researcher will maintain the confidentiality of the research records or data, by keeping the data collected in a password protected computer and, when not deidentified, in a password protected document. Your results will be linked to your email only if you choose to give your email address at the end of the survey. If you choose to give your email address it will be uploaded into MailChimp without identifiers so that we can update you with the results of the study and any future publications of the results. The research question on which this survey is based regards heterosexual marriage and so a person's spouse is referred to throughout as wife.

By submitting this form you are indicating that you have read the description of the study, are over the age of 18, and that you agree to the terms as described.
