Cervical screening survey Introduction This survey aims to gain insight of people's experience of the Cervical Screening Programme in Portsmouth (link to overview of the programme). In Portsmouth, approximately 13 out of 20 people took up their invitation for a cervical screen in 2024. We need to hear from local people to find out what improvements are needed to increase the numbers of people who have their cervical screen. We also want your ideas on how to make the most of your appointment time.A cervical screening is also sometimes called a smear test, HPV test or a PAP test. The test checks the health of the cervix, which is the space between the vagina and the womb. The screening test helps to prevent cervical cancer and is offered to all women aged 25-64 years old. That is why we want to hear how you feel about cervical screening to help shape the future of services. By sharing your views and experiences, we can make the health care services even better. And by helping more people to attend their appointments, we can improve the health of people in Portsmouth. The survey should only take 5 minutes and closes at midnight on 6 July 2025.
