The "Kids Online Safety Act" legislation includes provisions for government to provide safety oversight of social media companies' interactions with and impact on children.
The "Kids Online Safety Act" was introduced in the Senate in May 2023.  It is currently under review by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
