The Employment Research Institute at Edinburgh Napier University has been commissioned by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to carry out a survey of staff and research postgraduates working or studying – presently or formerly – in disciplines that fall under EPSRC’s Information and Communications Technologies portfolio.

This encompasses all those in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, but also includes anyone conducting research "which proposes new ways to transmit, present, manage, analyse, process, generate or understand information" (see the EPSRC website for more detail). The survey is aimed at those presently or formerly working or studying in the UK. We are interested in hearing from everyone – men and women, at all career stages, and including fixed term and contract researchers.

We would be grateful if you would complete this questionnaire, which we think should take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

The data will be used to inform a report that will be made publicly available. All responses are anonymous, and will not be reported in any way that could identify individual respondents.

All questions are optional. You may stop the survey at any point, however once starting the survey we cannot remove your responses as they cannot be traced back to you.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Helen Graham (h.graham@napier.ac.uk).
