About the Survey

Thank you for your interest in the Enabilise Project: Understanding the Assistive Technology Needs of people over 55 with Mobility Issues.

The Enabilise Project aims to identify core mobility issues not being adequately met by existing mobility equipment. Findings from this research will inform future projects that will design and potentially manufacture new mobility equipment that meets real need. Enabilise is a collaborative research project conducted by the University of Wollongong’s Global Challenges Program, the Illawarra Chapter of Aged and Community Services NSW & ACT and Illawarra Forum. The project is funded by the Global Challenges Program (UOW).

You are invited to complete the following 10-20 minute survey. To participate, you must be 55 years of age or older and have a physical mobility issue and/or use mobility equipment.

Your participation in this project is voluntary and you may stop the survey at any time without reason or consequence. Any information you provide cannot be withdrawn as your name will not be collected as part of the research. Apart from the 10-20 minutes required from you for the survey, we can foresee no risks for you. All data will be stored in secured spaces and will only be accessible to the research team and project facilitators (including IRIS Research) who have signed a confidentiality agreement. Findings from this research will be published in academic journals, conference presentations and proceedings, a Stage 2 Report, and other relevant academic or community presentations and publications. For more project information, visit the Enabilise webpage http://globalchallenges.uow.edu.au/living/UOW191472.html or call Dr. Eliza de Vet (details below).
