FAFSA Prep Application 2016

<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>New York Cares FAFSA Prep Workshop</strong></span></div>

New York Cares is providing groups of volunteers to schools and community centers to help families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All volunteers are trained by financial aid experts.

<strong>In order to participate, schools/community centers must:</strong><br>
<ul>
<li>Register a minimum of 30 families to attend the FAFSA workshop</li>
<li>Confirm that families bring proper financial documents (a list will be provided)</li>
<li>Secure a space which has at least 8-10 internet-ready computers to host the workshop</li>
<li>Provide a guidance counselor or other knowledgeable staff member who can be present for the duration of the event</li>
</ul>
This one-time workshop can be scheduled for a weekday evening (from 6:00pm - 9:00pm) or Saturday (11:00am - 2:00pm) between mid-November and December. January workshops may be scheduled on a case-by-case basis.
