Lismore Precinct Planning: Future use of buyback land

We’re undertaking precinct planning to explore and shape the future use of buyback land across Lismore. Precinct plans will be prepared for four areas: Lismore Centre, East Lismore, South Lismore and North Lismore.

This project is about planning a safer and more resilient future for flood affected land, ensuring it can provide lasting benefit to the community while recognising that these areas are no longer suitable for housing.

Help shape the future of Lismore by sharing your feedback on future land use.

We have developed a draft vision and set of possible opportunities and ideas for each precinct, which have been based on technical studies and consideration of flood risk, existing land uses, heritage and feedback from earlier community engagement. We'd now like to test these ideas with you.

For more detail on how we developed these ideas and specific locations identified in each precinct, please see the Ideas and Opportunities Paper on the project webpage. We encourage you to read this paper and explore the maps before completing the survey.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is open until 11:59pm, Sunday 1 November 2026.
