This short 5 minute survey asks questions about your experiences with fraud, scams, or extortion on dating apps and websites, such as Grindr, OkCupid, Scruff, Sniffies, or other digital platforms or online communities for meeting other people for romantic or sexual relationships.

Stories we collect will be used to create research & advocacy to support victims of fraud and abuse and to promote policies that will prevent scams, fraud, extortion, and other forms of financial abuse in online communities.

Responses to this story collection are confidential. Your response to this survey will only be made public if you grant permission to make it public. No personally identifiable information is captured unless you voluntarily enter information in the comment fields. If you submit your story, you have the option to remain completely anonymous, to share your contact information with only us and our partners so we may contact you privately regarding your story, or you can provide as much information to be shared publicly with your story as you prefer.

Submitting your story does not guarantee it will be used publicly. If you authorize us to communicate with you and your story is chosen for use, you will be contacted before action is taken. Stories that are selected may be used in a variety of ways. For example, they may be featured in social media posts, shown during a webinar presentation, or quoted in the press.

We will partner with you to ensure you are comfortable with how we use your story, and you may revoke your consent to use your story at any time. We will refrain from any future use of your information, but once information is released publicly, we are not able to retain control of how others may use your story in the future.
