In 2027, Saint Louis Zoo will open WildCare Park, a world class safari park and conservation center. WildCare Park is located near the intersection of Riverview and Larimore Road in Spanish Lake and is expected to become a major regional attraction, drawing thousands of visitors a year.
East West Gateway Council of Governments, in partnership with St. Louis County, Great Rivers Greenway, and the Saint Louis Zoo, is leading the Riverview Columbia Bottom Great Streets Project to create a long-term vision for Riverview Drive from Chain of Rocks Park on the south to the Columbia Bottom Conservation Area to the north.
This planning effort is an opportunity to shape how the corridor evolves with the addition of WildCare Park— including transportation, recreation, conservation, and potential development. We especially welcome input from residents of Spanish Lake and North St. Louis County, as nearby communities should help guide the future of this area. This survey takes approximately 10 minutes and your responses are confidential.
