Introduction
East West Gateway Council of Governments, in partnership with St. Louis County, Great Rivers Greenway, and the Saint Louis Zoo, is leading the Riverview Columbia Bottom Great Streets Project. The project will create a master plan for Riverview Drive from Chain of Rocks Park on the south to the Columbia Bottom Conservation Area to the north.

With the opening of the Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Park, a world class safari park and conservation center, the area is expected to attract a significant amount of new visitors beginning in 2027. Proactive planning will help shape how the corridor grows – including recreation, transportation, conservation, and tourism.

Your feedback will help the project team understand:
  • Who is likely to visit the area
  • What activities and amenities would attract visitors
  • Whether overnight accommodations would be appealing
  • How the area should be designed to support nature-based experiences.
