San José Clean Energy EcoHome Rebate Claim

To ensure you have everything in order for a successful rebate claim submission, you'll be asked to upload the following for each rebate you are claiming:

Rebate Submission Requirements
Heat Pump Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning System (HP-HVAC) (gas replacement)
  • Itemized invoice detailing project costs including parts and labor
  • Proof of final permitting or inspection
  • Photos of your outdoor unit (the heat pump) and indoor unit (air-handler)
Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) (gas replacement)
  • Itemized invoice detailing project costs including parts and labor
  • Proof of final permitting or inspection
  • Photo of your new HPWH
Residential Battery Storage
  • Itemized invoice detailing project costs including parts and labor
  • Proof of final permitting or inspection
  • Photos of both your new Battery Storage system AND solar panels
  • Interconnection Agreement or Permission to Operate letter from PG&E
Electric Service Panel Upgrade
  • Itemized invoice detailing project costs including parts and labor
  • Proof of final permitting or inspection
  • Photo of your new panel clearly showing it’s been upgraded to at least 200amps
Attic Insulation (must be paired with a HP-HVAC rebate)
  • Itemized invoice detailing project cost and the square feet of installation installed
  • Photo of your attic showing the new insulation levels
  • No Permit required
All qualifying circuit prewiring
  • Itemized invoice detailing project costs including parts and labor. Invoice will also need to identify the circuits’ purpose.
  • Proof of final permitting or inspection
  • Photo of either the new circuit or 240V outlet.
Circuit Pauser/Splitter Device
  • Invoice or receipt detailing cost and model number
  • Photo of the circuit pauser/splitter device
  • No Permit required
