Project Overview

Thank you for your participation in our research. The Service Council is a research organization that studies service (customer support, field service, service parts) businesses via surveys like the one below. You can find more at www.servicecouncil.com.

In our research, we usually poll leaders of service businesses. In field service, that could be the VP of Field Service or someone with similar responsibilities. While it is good to get their perspective in terms of business direction, we often miss whats happening out in the field, as evidenced by front-line field engineers. (Note: we use the term field service engineers. This also includes those who might be called field service associates, agents, professionals, or technicians.) That is the purpose of this current research project.

This project will comprise of two research surveys.
1- Survey 1: The field service profession (You are here)
2- Survey 2: Changes in field service (technology etc.)

Each survey will consist of 12-16 questions each and should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Findings will be published/shared in aggregate form only. None of your individual responses will be shared in any form, not to your employer or the broader The Service Council audience. If you would prefer, you do not need to enter your name or other contact details. We appreciate your participation. 

Survey results will be available on a short webinar taking place on Thursday Nov 17 at 2pm GMT (9am Eastern US). They will also be made available in summary in early December 2017. You can access the webinar registration at the completion of survey 2.
