Introduction

Thanks for your interest in The Service Council’s research.

ABOUT THIS SURVEY: The focus of this survey is to track service business performance for the first half of 2016. We align H1 with the calendar (January - June). If you work with a different calendar, please report your results for the first half of your calendar or the most recent 6-month period. When we say service business performance, we are referring to activity and financials associated with the service business. The 2nd part of this survey looks forward to the 2nd half of the year.

This survey will feature 20 total questions (excl. demographics - 5 questions) and should take no more than 5-7 minutes to complete. Results of this survey will initially be shared on Aug 10, 2016 on TSC's Smarter Services Webcast Series (Register here). This is available to all survey takers regardless of membership with The Service Council. Following the webcast, TSC will publish a paper and summary data deck containing these results.

The most appropriate person to participate in this survey is the leader of the service business or someone who has insight into the performance of the service business. Typically this might be the VP of Customer Service and Support or the VP of Service Operations but this could be business dependent. Results are only published in aggregate.

ABOUT OUR TRENDING RESEARCH: Our trending research features the same survey asked every 6 months. The intent is to look back at previous semi-annual period and determine business trends. Looking ahead, these surveys typically ask for estimates for the coming 6 months. These surveys have been conducted from the beginning of 2014.
