Wingecarribee Community Resilience Plans survey

Wingecarribee Shire Council is developing community resilience plans for four areas in our region.
  1. Southern villages (Exeter, Penrose, Wingello, Canyonleigh and Bundanoon)
  2. Western villages (Medway, New Berrima, Berrima and Wombeyan Caves)
  3. Eastern villages (Burrawang/Wildes Meadow, Kangaloon, Glenquarry, Avoca/Fitzroy Falls and Robertson)
  4. Northern villages (Balmoral Village, Hill Top, Yerrinbool and Colo Vale)
These plans will help our community prepare for and respond to future challenges such as natural disasters and social changes.

Resilience is our community’s ability to adapt to change, bounce back from tough times and grow stronger.

In times of crisis, it’s our connections that make a difference. Knowing our neighbours, having good relationships with friends and family, and being part of a connected community means someone will notice if we’re missing, help if we’re in trouble, and get us back on our feet after a crisis has passed.

The community resilience plans will help us understand our strengths and vulnerabilities and set out actionable ways we can support each other during tough times.

The plans are not intended to replicate or replace other important documents like the Emergency Management Plan. Instead, they are community-led plans that describe how Council, community and other partners can work together to create strong connected communities

We invite you to complete this survey to help us create a more connected, socially cohesive and resilient Wingecarribee.

This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey is open until 10 May 2026.
