INTRODUCTION

The ALFA Conference & Expo will invite more than two thousand senior living executives from around the world to Phoenix, Arizona for four days of intense education, networking, problem solving and idea development.

ALFA seeks energetic thought leaders and experts to educate and inspire senior living executives and those aspiring to grow their management careers in the field of senior living. Session proposals should address the professional development and informational needs of attendees. At the same time, proposals need to tie into areas of senior living business excellence including:

  • Architectural Design, Construction & Property Development
  • Clinical Issues & Resident Wellness
  • Dining Services
  • Finance & Business Growth Strategies
  • Gerontology
  • Human Resources & Staff Development

  • Physical Plant & Environmental Services
  • Regulatory Compliance & Legal Issues
  • Risk Management and Injury Reduction
  • Sales & Marketing Strategies
  • Senior Living Resident & Family Engagement
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Before you begin your submission, please make sure you have the following pieces of information:

  • Proposed Session Title
  • Proposed Session Description (250 words minimum)
  • Three Learning Outcomes for your Session
  • Speaker Background Information including, Biography, Educational History, and Two Professional References
REVIEW PROCESS

Each session proposal will be reviewed by a team of senior living executives and you will be notified by mid-November of the status of your submission.

Proposals will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

  • Is the topic relevant to the audience?
  • Have the speakers received received positive ratings in the past?
  • Will the session appeal to highly experienced senior living executives?
  • Is the session well organized and designed to meet the needs of this particular audience?
TERMS & CONDITIONS
By submitting this proposal, I acknowledge that if selected as a presenter I agree to the following terms:

1. I will meet all posted dates and deadlines and understand that if deadlines are missed ALFA reserves the right to make adjustments or cancel my session.
2. All travel and meeting registration costs associated with my attendance at the ALFA 2014 Conference & Expo are my responsibility. The conference registration fee for speakers is $650.
3. Proposals from vendors or suppliers to the senior living industry must include as a co-presenter a senior living executive from an ALFA member company.
4. Proposals from vendors or suppliers to the senior living industry who are not current members of ALFA will not be accepted.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE

All proposals must be submitted on this website before 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, October 21, 2013.
